Now that Lionsgate has nabbed the highly anticipated and apparently amazing CABIN IN THE WOODS, a release date has been set!
The first feature from Drew Goddard (CLOVERFIELD), and co-written by Goddard and Joss Whedon (BUFFY, FIREFLY) CABIN IN THE WOODS will finally see release Friday April 13, 2012. It's an appropriate date for sure, but sadly still a bit a ways away.
Excitingly, the film is described as "wildly imaginative and intensely horrific, toying with every convention of its genre while at the same time raising their stakes exponentially." It stars THOR's Chris Hemsworth as "a young professional who visits a quaint cabin in the woods with a group of friends and ends up scratching the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out."
There's a killer cast behind Hemsworth including Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford. Can't wait!
