The director of THE WARD is now headed to the ASYLUM—that’s the title of Carpenter’s new comic book project, and you can take a peek at the first image after the jump.

Bad Ass Digest got the exclusive image. JOHN CARPENTER’S ASYLUM will be debuting around Halloween, and the series will initially be web-only, with Volume 1 (of a planned 12 volume series) being scored by Carpenter himself. Each volume will also have a video introduction by Carpenter. You can check out a teaser at graphicly.com later today. That site is where JOHN CARPENTER’S ASYLUM will be published, although it could end up in print later on. Additionally, Sandy King and Thomas Ian Griffiths, the creators of JOHN CARPENTER’S ASYLUM, will be at Comic-Con this week at the Graphicly booth.
