We first told you the other day about a new 3D horror/comedy called DEAD BEFORE DAWN that’s currently lensing in Niagara Falls, Canada, and now we’ve got a few fresh pics to show you and news of a horror/comedy veteran joining the cast.

Production entity Wango Films has announced that Christopher Lloyd, who has dabbled in the fantastic and frightening via the BACK TO THE FUTURE and ADDAMS FAMILY movies, an early turn in the slasher opus SCHIZOID and last year’s PIRANHA 3D, appears in DEAD BEFORE DAWN as the grandfather of teen hero Casper (played by Devon Bostick, in first two photos below). He runs an occult shop that no doubt becomes a key hangout for Casper and his friends as they take on the Zemons (part zombie, part demon) they’ve accidentally unleashed in their small town. “It’s an honor to have such a legendary actor join the cast, and we cannot wait to see Lloyd bring his unique spark to the film,” says April Mullen, who’s directing DEAD BEFORE DAWN and producing it with screenwriter Tim Doiron.
