He’s been an elusive presence on MTV’s TEEN WOLF, leaping and attacking and never giving us a good look at his fanged and hairy mug. Now Fango’s got the first good close-up look at the Alpha werewolf from the popular show.

In this reinvention of the Michael J. Fox big-screen comedy, the Alpha is the beast who bit high-schooler Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), occasioning Scott’s subsequent lycanthropic transformations, and continues to lurk on the sidelines causing all kinds of monstrous trouble. As series creator Jeff Davis tells Fango, “You wouldn’t want to pet this wolf…”

TEEN WOLF is currently in the midst of its 12-episode first season, which started with the pilot directed by Russell Mulcahy, who also helmed the next two installments and will return for the last three. SPLINTER’s Toby Wilkins directed episodes four-six, with Tim Andrew on the seventh (which airs next Monday, July 11 at 10/9 Central) through ninth.
