News broke a couple of weeks ago that Universal had decided
against going ahead with a sequel to last year’s THE WOLFMAN, and instead had
writer Michael Tabb rework his script into an original, standalone picture
called WEREWOLF. Well, that project now has a director attached to it.
Moviehole got the exclusive that Louis Morneau will be at the helm. Morneau’s credits include CARNOSAUR 2, BATS, THE HITCHER II: I’VE BEEN WAITING and JOY RIDE 2: DEAD AHEAD. So, does this mean that WEREWOLF is going direct to DVD? Who knows. And will it have any connection to the 1996 flick WEREWOLF starring Joe Estevez? Ummm...probably not.
