SCREAM 4, the latest in the Wes Craven/Kevin Williamson satiric slasher series, is cutting into the disc market in October, and details on the DVD and Blu-ray/DVD combo pack have just arrived, along with the art for both and a trailer. We’ve also got the goods on the multiple home releases of the vampire actioner PRIEST.

Anchor Bay Entertainment issues SCREAM 4 October 4. The latest adventures of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, dodging Ghostface alongside newcomers Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Adam Brody, Rory Culkin, Mary McDonnell, Marley Shelton, Nico Tortorella and others, will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and DTS-HD-MA 5.1 audio on the Blu-ray, accompanied by the following special features:

• “The Making of SCREAM 4” featurette

• Alternate opening

• Extended ending

• Deleted and extended scenes

• Gag reel

Special features are subject to change; the Blu-ray/DVD combo also includes a digital copy. Retail price is $29.98 for the DVD, $39.99 for the combo.

Coming sooner is PRIEST, starring Paul Bettany in the title role of a rebellious monster slayer on an alternate Earth, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on August 16. The theatrical cut will be issued on DVD, with an unrated version on 2D and 3D Blu-ray editions. The movie will be presented in anamorphic 2.40:1 widescreen (1080p on the Blu-rays) with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and DTS-HD 5.1 audio on the Blu-rays. The extras are:

• Audio commentary by director Scott Stewart, writer Cory Goodman and stars Bettany and Maggie Q

• Deleted and extended scenes

• “The Bloody Frontier: Creating the World of PRIEST” featurette

• “Tools of the Trade: The Weapons and Vehicles of PRIEST” featurette

The Blu-rays also include the “Bullets and Crucifixes: Picture-in-Picture Experience” feature. Retail prices are $30.99 for the DVD, $35.99 for the 2D Blu-ray and $45.99 for the 3D Blu-ray.
