Stacy Davidson's indie slasher is set for a global premiere via online outfit Constellation.

Beginning July 16, when the film will see its first social screening, fans can buy e-tickets to "attend" and "engage in real-time discussion during and after the film. After the 16th, fans of the movie will also be able to set a date and time for their own personal, hosted screenings, and post the link for their online fans."

Davidson will be present live in the premiere screening in the virtual theater, via webcam, July 16th 9:00PM EDT, and will host a virtual Q+A. Other VIP hosts will be announced soon here.

SWEATSHOP sees a group of young friends who arrive at an abandoned factory to set up for a rave, and become the prey of the Beast, a human monster wielding a massive hammer made from an anvil and a steel pole.

Producer and co-writer Ted Geoghean had this to say about SWEATSHOP's online debut: "With Sweatshop, Stacy and I strived to create a truly indie slasher film that embodied the trashy, rough, but ultimately fun cinema we grew up on. It doesn't pay homage to the body count cinema of the 70s and 80s, as much as it humbly tries to replicate it. It's awash with all the nasty characters, gratuitous nudity, and shocking violence that first created our love of extreme cinema. And now, prior to its DVD release, we're happy to share Sweatshop with fans online - and look forward to their comments and discussions with each other on the Constellation's new platform."
