As a run-up to FANGORIA’s free screening of the box-office
smash INSIDIOUS on Monday, July 11 at Los Angeles’ Silent Movie Theater, hosted by director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh
Whannell, see below for a rerun of our exclusive two-part video interview (see
previous part here) with Whannell, who today talks with Fango’s Tony Timpone
about the making of INSIDIOUS and provides scoops on his future projects.

Plus fans can send in their questions in advance via Facebook and Twitter using #INSIDIOUSLIVE.

This special show is sponsored by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, who releases INSIDIOUS on DVD and Blu-ray July 12.

The year’s most successful—and scariest—horror film thus far, INSIDIOUS pays tribute to such fright classics as CARNIVAL OF SOULS, THE EXORCIST and POLTERGEIST. Renais (28 WEEKS LATER’s Rose Byrne) and her husband Josh (HARD CANDY’s Patrick Wilson) are still unpacking boxes in their new home when she first senses a sinister presence. Eerie events steadily escalate into supernatural attacks, until one day oldest son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) slips into a baffling coma. Renais and Josh abandon their ghost-ridden abode and attempt to heal their broken family, turning to an unorthodox expert in paranormal occurrences (2001 MANIACS’ Lin Shaye). Chillingly, they soon discover—it’s not the house that’s haunted… Barbara Hershey (BLACK SWAN, THE ENTITY, RIDING THE BULLET) costars in the film, which was produced by PARANORMAL ACTIVITY’s Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider. Whannell also plays paranormal investigator Specs in the film.
