After Dark Originals takes you on a trip into the legendary Air Force base where aliens are stashed in 51, the creature feature that premiered on Syfy in February and is set for DVD release in September. We’ve got first word on the specs and look at the cover.

Directed by Jason Connery from a Kenny Yakkel screenplay, starring Vanessa Branch, Bruce Boxleitner, Rachel Miner, Jason London and John Shea and streeting September 20 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, the movie follows a group of journalists who are given the first access ever to the Area 51 facility, where the “residents” stage an escape and terrorize the trapped humans. The disc will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, plus a behind-the-scenes featurette; retail price is $19.98. Connery talks about making 51 here.
