Remember THE ABC’S OF DEATH, the amazing-sounding horror anthology from Drafthouse Films and Timpson Films to feature 25 of the world’s most interesting young genre filmmakers crafting macabre shorts around the alphabet? It’s added some exciting names and released the full details of how you could be its 26th director!

Continuing its well-rounded roster, THE ABC’S OF DEATH will now also see contributions from Fango fave Christopher Smith (BLACK DEATH, SEVERANCE), Noburo Iguchi (MACHINE GIRL), Xavier Gens (FRONTIERS) and Kaare Andrews (ALTITUDE). They join the likes of Nacho Vigalondo, Ti West, Ben Wheatley, Yoshihiro Nishimura, Jason Eisener and many more.

Also expanded upon was the previously announced contest, which will see an unknown director win a slot in the film and $5,000. Filmmakers can enter by filming their own short, four minutes or under in length, based on the letter “T”. After uploading to YouTube or Vimeo, the fate of the films is to be decided by public voting until ten are left. The anthology’s 25 other directors will choose the winner.

Producer Ant Timpson said, "We expect a lot of talented folks around the world to step up to this challenge, I just hope someone attempts T is for Tabanid (blood-sucking insect) or Taws (a thong used for punishment)."
