With MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D being a widespread crowd pleaser, it seemed Patrick Lussier and his screenwriting partner, Todd Farmer were a great fit to take on the 'The Shape' in HALLOWEEN 3D. After a script was written and pre-production started, however, progression halted on the project and Lussier shifted his focus to the now filming, DRIVE ANGRY. What will become of HALLOWEEN 3D? Read on for Lussier's comments on his involvement, or lack thereof...
MTV spoke to Lussier on the set of the Nic Cage starring 3D action flick and here's what he had to say regarding the return of Michael Myers after DRIVE ANGRY wraps:
"That'll all depend on Dimension Films and their timing."
He also briefly commented on what his and Farmer's vision entailed:
"The film that we wrote took place, like, the next frame after Rob's HALLOWEEN II ended and immediately went into stripping Michael Myers back to his John Carpenter roots. That's what we did very quickly. And then you pick up the story a year later as Halloween rolls around again. Everybody's back in the fray. That was our goal."
