CBS Films has set a date for the new adaptation of Susan Hill's ghost story!
Coming from the resurrected Hammer Films, THE WOMAN IN BLACK stars HARRY POTTER's Daniel Radcliffe as a lawyer who travels to a country village and encounters the titular, vengeful spirit in the house where he’s staying. James Watkins (EDEN LAKE) directed Jane Goldman’s (KICK-ASS) script. The cast also includes Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer and Shaun Dooley.
Shock Till You Drop is reporting a January 20, 2012 date for the period piece. They note it's going up right against UNDERWORLD 4, which hopefully doesn't hurt it as the film looks like a solid old-fashioned, eerie tale (which excites me to no end). Keep an eye on Fango for more as its release nears and check out its first trailer below.
