Peter Jackson has debuted the initial HOBBIT production video. The 10-minute clip goes behind-the-scenes and on the set of the production, which is now (and finally) underway.

The video appears on Jackson’s HOBBIT Facebook page, and you can check it out below. The two films, with screenplays by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Guillermo del Toro and Jackson, will be shot consecutively in digital 3D. Filming is taking place at Stone Street Studios, Wellington, and on location around New Zealand. Martin Freeman has the title role as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellen returns in the role of Gandalf the Grey. Click here for more cast & crew information.
