A look at Hammer's ghostly period piece has arrived!
THE WOMAN IN BLACK follows a lawyer named Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) who moves into a small British town to put a recently deceased client’s papers in order. Working alone in the client’s remote mansion, he discovers dark secrets, including the titular spirit who is haunting the village. EDEN LAKE’s James Watkins will direct from a script by KICK-ASS’ Jane Goldman, based on the novel by Susan Hill.
Premiering at IGN UK, the teaser trailer (which you can see below) is brief and atmospheric, and hopefully indicative of a good old-fashioned chilling tale. WOMAN is slated to open in UK cinemas February 10, 2012. No word on U.S. date just yet. For more, check out some of Radcliffe's thoughts on the film right here.
