Your personal excitement or enragement over ANTICHRIST aside (even the Fango team is fiercely divided), it’s hard to deny the breathtaking qualities of Lars von Trier’s work. A trailer for MELANCHOLIA, his Kirsten Dunst-starring sci-fi drama, has hit the Web, and yes, it looks stunning—and exhausting.

MELANCHOLIA sees the impending destruction of Earth mirrored with the internal destruction of a new marriage and those who surround it. The film boasts an incredible ensemble alongside Dunst, including ANTICHRIST’s Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, SWIMMING POOL’s Charlotte Rampling, TRUE BLOOD’s Alexander Skarsgard (as well as his father Stellan), FUNNY GAMES’ Brady Corbet and Udo Kier (!).

MELANCHOLIA isn’t dated, but Magnolia has picked it up for U.S. distribution. The clip premiered on the film's official site.
