Elsewhere on the vintage genre front, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has begun offering on-demand DVDs of past MGM movies and TV series via Createspace’s DVD on Demand service. Among the titles are HOUSE OF THE LONG SHADOWS, Pete Walker’s 1983 feature uniting horror greats Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and John Carradine; 1977’s THE WHITE BUFFALO, executive producer Dino De Laurentiis’ follow-up to KING KONG directed by J. Lee Thompson, pitting Charles Bronson and Will Sampson against the titular beast; and WICKED STEPMOTHER, Larry Cohen’s 1989 comedy with Bette Davis in her final role, playing a witch who marries into a yuppie family. Season 2 of the supernatural show POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY is also available, and for Japanfans, the complete series JOHNNY SOKKO AND HIS FLYING ROBOT, with the title characters squaring off against assorted world-threatening monsters, is part of the lineup as well. All of these titles can be ordered via Amazon.com here.
