Media Blasters originally released WICKED LAKE on DVD back in October 2008 on its Shriek Show label; now, the company is planning to rerelease Zach Passero’s horror film on Blu-ray—and this version will feature the director’s cut.

Passero tells Dread Central that the disc will contain both the original version as well as his re-edited edition (titled WICKED, WICKED LAKE), plus his new introduction. The movie involves four beautiful women who are on a weekend getaway in the woods when they’re menaced by two clans of deranged male misfits. The girls appear to be easy prey for the predatory perverts until the fateful stroke of midnight, when all hell, literally, breaks loose and the tables are turned.

“Bring Me the Head of Damien DeKay”—a prank Halloween piece

“Forking”—a Super-8 film starring WICKED co-producer/co-scripter Chris Sivertson, Lucky McKee, and WICKED co-stars Justin Stone and Luke Y. Thompson

“So Anyways”—a weirdo short piece

“More City Bitches”—deleted scenes, alternate takes and bloopers

“We Be the Police”—a Jake and Ray short piece

Current plans are for Media Blasters to issue the Blu-ray packaged with a CD soundtrack and the director’s cut on DVD.
