I AM NUMBER FOUR helmer D.J. Caruso has Tweeted that he’ll be behind the camera for the big-screen adaptation of the Vertigo/DC Comics title PREACHER.

Although Caruso’s Twitter account isn’t verified, Deejaycar wrote: “My deal just closed on PREACHER. Going back to the dark side and pretty f**king pumped!”

Caruso was at one time attached to an adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn’s comic book Y: THE LAST MAN. PREACHER tells the story of a preacher who is possessed by the supernatural angel-demon spawn Genesis and goes on a journey to find God along with his girlfriend and a hard-drinking Irish vampire.
