We told you here that British director Harry Bromley Davenport is returning to the XTRO franchise he first visited in 1983 to do a fourth film in the series. He’s got a script (by frequent collaborator Daryl Haney) and the backing; what he doesn’t have is a name for it, and he’s seeking Fangorians’ help in that department.

“I’m in need of a title for XTRO 4,” he tells us. “Daryl and I usually come up with one, but we decided it was a good idea to ask the FANGORIA readership for suggestions. I need a title that is somewhat generalized, but which starts with the word “XTRO”; the second film was titled XTRO II: THE SECOND ENCOUNTER, and the third was called XTRO 3: WATCH THE SKIES. The winner will receive a prerelease copy of the first rough cut of the movie with temporary sound, and be asked for comments and criticism, and will also be sent the final version with a personal message of thanks from me written on the front of the DVD-R. Also, when the commercial DVD comes out, I’ll send a copy of that with the flyer artwork, etc.

“I’ll also give the same prize to three runners-up; Fango could then publish those titles. We may also encourage readers to send in their own mockup artwork at a later date if I post some stills and sample ideas on a website, and Fango would publish the results of that as well.”
