The eight-film collection of After Dark Originals features will see limited theatrical release January 28, but two of them have already been set for home release. Fango got ahold of the full details, so read on…

HUSK (pictured above), for which we just reported on a new trailer here, and PROWL will both be available on DVD and via digital download and on-demand March 29 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. HUSK, directed by Brett Simmons based on his short, is about a group of friends terrorized by supernatural forces at a remote farmhouse after an attack by crows cripples their car, while the Patrik Syversen-helmed PROWL is about another unfortunate bunch of buddies stranded by an auto accident who hitch a ride on a cargo truck, only to be trapped in a warehouse where they’re preyed on by vampires. Both movies will be presented on the disc in widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks; the extras are:

HUSK:

• Audio commentary by director Brett Simmons and actors Devon Graye, Wes Chatham and CJ Thomason

• Behind-the-scenes featurette

• Storyboards

PROWL:

• Audio commentary by writer Tim Tori and actors Courtney Hope and Josh Bowman

• Behind-the-scenes featurette

Retail price is $19.98 each; cover art is coming soon. See the After Dark Originals website here and look for further coverage at Fangoria.com in the near future.
