The DARK NIGHT returns! VCI Entertainment announced that it will be releasing the highly anticipated and long overdue DVD of the extremely creepy TV movie DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW.
According to Horror Yearbook, the disc will debut sometime around Halloween. In the 1981 telemovie, directed by AUDREY ROSE/THE ENTITY author Frank De Felitta. DARKMAN’s Larry Drake plays a mentally challenged man who is wrongly accused of attacking a young girl. Pursued by a group of vigilantes led by THE FURY’s Charles Durning, he disguises himself as a scarecrow and is murdered by the mob. After the men are acquitted, however, justice is served in a much more violent manner when a mysterious scarecrow hunts down the wrongdoers one by one. More details to come!
