The NIGHT OF THE DEMONS remake directed by Adam Gierasch has been bouncing around the release schedule for a while now, but now it looks like the update of Kevin S. Tenney’s 1988 Linnea Quigley-starrer has finally settled on a date.

Dread Central, which also got ahold of some new pics like the one below, reports that DEMONS—originally set to be released by Seven Arts Distribution—will receive a “decently wide release” (in Gierasch’s words) September 23 from a company the director wouldn’t confirm. He did tell the site, “Hopefully we’ll be able to do some concerts to celebrate the release. We are definitely going to do [one] in LA, and maybe New York, and I can’t guarantee it but I hope New Orleans, because that is where the movie takes place and where we shot it.” The movie’s soundtrack includes “45 Grave, who did our theme song, Type O Negative, TSOL, Psychocharger, Goatwhore, Wednesday 13 and Dead by Day,” Gierasch adds. “The soundtrack is awesome, and it’s all the way through the whole movie too. We did fight scenes to punk-rock songs, demon attacks to punk-rock songs—I describe it as ‘party horror.’ ”

NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, scripted by Gierasch and Jace Anderson, stars Shannon Elizabeth (as lead bad girl Angela), Edward Furlong, Monica Keena (seen below), Diora Baird, Bobbi Sue Luther, Jonathan Beach, Michael Copon and Tiffany Shepis.
