Canada’s premier horrorcore metal act So Sick Social Club will be playing a headline gig at the North by Northeast Music Festival in Toronto this Saturday, June 19. The band—fronted by vocalist/lyricist Christopher Lewchuk (a.k.a. Chris So Sick) has been amassing a dedicated cult following all around the world, due to their hypnotic beats, ultraviolent tongue-in-cheek lyrics and wild, Grand Guignol, sex-and-blood-filled stage shows.
For this special performace, the group is promising an intense live show full of shock, monsters and their usual crew of scantily clad “so sick chicks.” How can you resist? Opening up the show will be Montreal’s infamous Slaves on Dope, a metal act once managed by Sharon Osbourne. The band is also providing an exclusive T-shirt to anyone who shows up to the gig in a So Sick makeup scheme or greasepaint of any sort.
