BATTLESTAR GALACTICA actor Michael Hogan (pictured) will next take part in a different otherworldly adventure; he has joined the cast of Warner Bros.’ RED RIDING HOOD.

The Wrap reports that Hogan will play a mysterious character named The Reeve. TWILIGHT director Catherine Hardwicke is helming the film, which also stars Amanda Seyfried, Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Julie Christie and Gary Oldman. ORPHAN’s David Leslie Johnson wrote the script, which is set in a medieval village haunted by a werewolf, and follows a young girl (Seyfried) who is set to marry one man (Irons) but falls for an orphaned woodcutter (Fernandez), much to her family’s disapproval. Warners plans to release RED RIDING HOOD April 22, 2011; see Hardwicke’s comments on the project here.
