The 2010 New York Asian Film Festival is preparing to explode across the city starting Friday, June 25, and two of its featured movies with the most Fangorian interest are MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD and ALIEN VS. NINJA. Thanks to the good folks at the festival, we’ve got two pairs of tickets to each flick to give away!
MUTANT GIRLS SQUAD marks the first feature co-helmed by three of Japan’s hottest current cult filmmakers: MACHINE GIRL’s Noboru Iguchi, TOKYO GORE POLICE’s Yoshihiro Nishimura and BE A MAN! SAMURAI SCHOOL’s Tak Sakaguchi (see the new “splatter trailer” courtesy of Twitch below). ALIEN VS. NINJA is from a pair of directors, Seiji Chiba and Yuji Shimomura, and both movies are among the first productions of the new Sushi Typhoon genre label. ALIEN screens Saturday, July 3 at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, July 6 at 3:45 p.m., and MUTANT is showing on the 3rd at 8:30 p.m. and Monday, July 5 at 6 p.m. The tickets will be good for either showing of the respective film—but if you choose one of the screenings on the 3rd, you’ll also get into the Sushi Typhoon launch party that night at 10:30 p.m., with some of the filmmakers in attendance!
