Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza’s better-than-the-average-sequel [REC] 2 arrives on video-on-demand June 4 and in theaters July 9 to give you a good scare. To give you a taste of what to expect, Magnolia Pictures’ Magnet Releasing arm has unleashed a new red-band trailer at MySpace, and you can see it below the jump.

Starting off right where the previous [REC] ended, the follow-up heads back into the blood-streaked apartment house with a SWAT team and the medical expert leading them—and needless to say, their guns are no match for the ravenous infected folks lurking within.
