June 13 isn’t too far away: That’s when season three of TRUE BLOOD debuts on HBO. Take a look at the new two-minute trailer past the jump.
Dead Rabbit Films—which teams up FRIGHT NIGHT and CHILD’S PLAY director Tom Holland (pictured) with music-biz impresario David Chackler (who served as music supervisor on those two movies)—develops and produces feature films as well as scripted episodic television for emerging networks and mobile platforms. Their latest project is TWISTED TALES, a new series of shorts written and directed by Holland.
On April 23, over 60 filmmakers gathered in Colorado Springs, CO for three days of cinematic bliss at the 3rd Annual Indie Spirit Film Festival. The event showcased over 100 films from all over the world, with four theaters running at a time from morning till night. The features, shorts and documentaries ranged from experimental to narrative, and covered everything from abduction to zombies.
The Ultimate Secret. The Ultimate Agent. The President’s Vampire. OK, did you laugh? Well, we’re being serious. Christopher Farnsworth’s novel BLOOD OATH was just released today and—surprise! surprise!—it has also been announced that it’s being adapted into a film.
Chris Alexander tells me news of Dave Everitt's death came just in time for him to add a farewell to the masthead of the upcoming issue.

When Dave Everitt, who passed away on May 7 (see previous story here) was first hired at the outfit that fellow FANGORIA founder Ed Naha liked to call “The House of Pain” (borrowing from H.G. Wells the term the “beast-men” used to refer to the lab of the very mad Dr. Moreau), he wasn’t attached to Fango; instead, he was more or less a floating staffer who could be applied wherever the need was greatest.
