In this installment, we discuss the passing of New Line, the obstacles for indie filmmakers, and Divine!

I met Jeffrey Schwarz, the man behind the awesome SPINE TINGLER! THE WILLIAM CASTLE STORY about ten years ago when he’d just started that project. In the time since, he’s created tons of DVD behind-the-scenes featurettes for more genre films that you can shake an axe at, and now he’s branched out into features.

Michael Sharpe is a busy guy. He’s an actor and a director. Nothing too unusual about that; there are many actors who step behind the camera. However, this is the horror indie-cinema world, and it isn’t quite so easy to be successful at both. Yet Sharpe is making strides, and rather quickly.

It’s the holiday season. Snowflakes should be coming down, but they’re not, thankfully. Otherwise, why live in Southern California? The pressure is off, too, or at least lessening. Hollywood is shutting down for the holidays.
