An old story from October of last year surfaced in the genre press yesterday from the British site The Sunday Mail. Last Fall they'd spoken with actor Stephen Dorff (PUBLIC ENEMIES) about a possible BLADE spin-off focusing on his character, Deacon Frost who (SPOILER ALERT) "bit the dust" so-to-speak at the blade of Willie Mays Hayes Wesley Snipes.Now Rob Worley over at Comics2Film caught up with original BLADE helmer Stephen Norrington to get us all up to speed.
Currently at work on the reimagining of THE CROW, Norrington gives credit to Dorff for the idea behind the potential project, which he tells C2F "has evolved into a very interesting story."
The film(s) would be a prequel to the exisiting BLADE Trilogy, but would be several years off. Click here to read the full story, and look for more on this one somewhere down the road.
