IGN Movies has debuted a new trailer for Third Rail Releasing’s creature feature OUTLANDER, starring Jim Caviezel. You can check it out at the bottom of this item.
Set in the time of the Vikings, the film casts Caviezel as Kainan, an extraterrestrial soldier whose spaceship crashes on Earth, releasing a savage alien beast called the Moorwen. As the monster runs rampant, Kainan must team up with the initially untrusting Vikings to put a stop to it; Sophia Myles, Jack Huston, Fango fave Ron Perlman and ALIEN’s John Hurt co-star. Directed by Howard McCain from a script he wrote with Dirk Blackman, OUTLANDER at one point looked like it was going direct to DVD, but instead will receive limited theatrical play from Third Rail January 23 (when it will compete with UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS—which McCain and Blackman also co-scripted). Agreed with AD. It's nearly the EXACT same version we've had here on FANGORIA.com for some time - just with the Third Rail logo and a different date. I believe the one we had already said 2008 on it.
