Writer/director Mel House premiered a new clip from his ambitious indie chiller WALKING DISTANCE at Fango’s recent Weekend of Horrors convention, and now we’ve got it as an on-line exclusive. Check out the video below! “This clip highlights the questionable parenting skills of Marie Gray [Debbie Rochon],” House tells us, “and how they ultimately lead young Cole Gray [Brady Hender] into Joseph Webber’s [Reggie Bannister] sights. Of course, the grown-up Cole [Denton Blane Everett] still has issues with Webber—and then Cole’s recently deceased girlfriend [Fango Spooksmodel Shannon Lark] shows up with an…interesting proposition. I’m probably be creating more questions than answers,” he adds, “but that’s the fun of the WALKING DISTANCE storyline.”
Set in a self-sufficient community where very strange things begin to happen, WALKING DISTANCE (see our last story here) also features original FRIDAY THE 13TH heroine Adrienne King, 24’s Glenn Morshower and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE “Tea Lady” Kathy Lamkin. “Right now, DISTANCE is hurtling toward the finish line,” House says. “My co-composer Dwayne Cathey and I are hard at work on the score, and Stacy Davidson [director of DOMAIN OF THE DAMNED and the upcoming SWEATSHOP] is chipping away at our massive visual FX shot list over at Visual Odyssee. We hope to unleash DISTANCE sometime in the late summer or early fall, so keep your eyes peeled for screening announcements.”
